Care Tips

Place the plant where curious pets and children cannot chew the leaves, as this plant is toxic and not meant to be eaten, and may cause irritation if ingested.

Use a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season to support healthy leaves and faster vine growth.

The plant adjusts well to regular home humidity, but it will enjoy an occasional misting during very dry weather.

Use a light mix with garden soil, cocopeat, compost, and a little sand or perlite so the roots get moisture without sitting in excess water.

Check the top layer of soil before watering and water only when it feels dry to the touch.

Keep it near a window, balcony door, or bright indoor corner where it gets good natural light without harsh direct sun.

Know Your N’Joy Money Plant

Botanically known as Epipremnum aureum 'N'Joy', the N'Joy Money Plant is a compact, slow-growing cultivar of the widely beloved Golden Pothos, belonging to the Araceae family and grown for its distinctively variegated foliage in deep green and bright white. Unlike the parent plant, its leaves are smaller and more compact, with a crisp, graphic variegation pattern where no two leaves are identical, making each plant visually unique. Like all Pothos cultivars, it is a natural climber and trailer in the wild, growing epiphytically on trees and other surfaces, and adapts just as well indoors as a trailing vine, in a hanging planter, or climbing a moss stick. The N'Joy is one of several variegated Pothos cultivars that emerged from controlled nursery breeding programmes in the early 2000s, and its crisp white variegation is stable enough that it reliably passes to new plants grown from cuttings, making it one of the more consistently propagated variegated houseplants available.

Best Placement for Your N’Joy Money Plant

The N'Joy Money Plant thrives in bright indirect light and does best near an east or north-facing window where it receives consistent filtered sunlight throughout the day. Bright light is particularly important for maintaining its crisp white variegation, as insufficient light will cause the white portions of the leaves to reduce over time, with new growth becoming progressively greener. It tolerates lower light conditions reasonably well but the variegation will be at its most vivid and defined in a well-lit spot. Keep it away from direct harsh sunlight which can scorch and brown the white portions of its leaves, as the unpigmented areas are more vulnerable to sun damage than fully green foliage. Its compact size and trailing nature make it equally suited to a desk, a shelf where its vines can trail downward, or a hanging planter where its variegated foliage can be appreciated from below.

What Your N’Joy Money Plant Brings Home

The N'Joy Money Plant brings a crisp, graphic quality to any indoor space, its deep green and bright white variegation adding a visual clarity and freshness that works across a wide range of interiors. As a Pothos cultivar it shares the air-purifying qualities of its parent plant, identified in NASA's Clean Air Study as an effective filter of common indoor pollutants including formaldehyde and benzene. In Vastu Shastra and Feng Shui it carries the same auspicious associations as the broader Money Plant family, believed to attract positive energy and prosperity into the home. Its compact size, distinctive variegation, and relative rarity in the Indian market also make it a particularly thoughtful gift for anyone with an appreciation for unusual and design-forward houseplants.
