Vegetable Soil Mix

Growing your own vegetables at home is a joy, and it starts with good soil. This mix is made for kitchen gardens on balconies and terraces, where plants grow in pots and grow bags rather than in the ground. It holds moisture well, drains freely so roots do not rot, and carries the nutrients that leafy and fruiting plants need to grow steadily. Use it for tomatoes, chillies, brinjal, beans, spinach, methi, coriander and other favourites. Fill your pots or grow bags, sow or plant, and water well. Add a little compost or vermicompost on top every few weeks once plants start flowering and fruiting. Keep the pack closed and dry.
