Know Your Golden Yellowstone Snake Plant
Botanically known as Sansevieria trifasciata or classified under the newer name Dracaena trifasciata, the Golden Yellowstone Snake Plant is a compact succulent native to West Africa, grown for its striking upright leaves edged in bold yellow and cream variegation. It is commonly known as the Snake Plant, Mother-in-Law's Tongue, and Viper's Bowstring Hemp — the latter referring to its historically documented use in making bowstrings from its strong leaf fibres. In Vastu Shastra, it is considered a powerful absorber of negative energy, recommended for placement in areas of high stress or low energy. The Snake Plant is one of the few houseplants that continues to release oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide at night, making it a particularly good bedroom plant.
