About the Plate Shaped Food Feeder
This compact, shallow green plate has a wide rim that small birds can perch on while they eat or drink. It holds seed, grains or a little water, and its small size fits easily on a balcony, beside a window or among garden plants. Fill it with kagni or a small-seed mix for house sparrows, munias and white-eyes, which like to feed in the open where they can see around them. If you use it for water, a fresh change each day keeps it inviting in the summer. The open shape is simple to clean and refill. It makes a good first feeder: put it out, give the birds a few days, and watch for your first regular visitors.
