About the Cylinder Coir Bird House
This bird house is a standing cylinder of thick, pressed coconut coir, closed at the top and bottom, with a round entrance hole cut into one side. A cord through the top lets you hang it upright from a hook, branch or balcony railing. The tall shape gives birds a deep chamber to settle into, away from wind and rain, and the coir walls let air through so the inside stays airy in the heat. It suits house sparrows, munias and similar small birds looking for a quiet place to rest or nest. Put it up a little before the nesting season, somewhere shaded and out of reach of cats, so birds have time to find it and decide it is home.
