About the Coir Hut With Grass Roof
This bird house has walls of thick, pressed coconut coir in the shape of a small hut, finished with a sloping roof covered in bright green artificial turf. A round entrance sits in the front wall, and a cord through the roof lets you hang it from a hook, tree branch or balcony railing. The coir walls let air through, keeping the inside comfortable in summer and sheltered when the weather turns cool, while the roof overhang keeps rain off the doorway. It is sized for house sparrows, munias and similar small birds. The green roof helps it sit naturally among your plants, and a spot with some leafy cover nearby makes birds feel safer coming and going.
