Using your Hand Cultivator
Where this tool is most useful
A hand cultivator is most useful for loosening compacted soil, removing small weeds, and mixing compost or fertilizer around plants in pots, garden beds, and tight spaces.
How to use it
Hold the handle and gently press the curved tines into the top layer of soil around the plant. Pull the tool through the soil to break up clumps and loosen the surface, which improves airflow and allows water and nutrients to reach the roots more easily. You can also use it to lift out small weeds or mix compost into the soil around plants.
